Salutations! My name is Evan Fordham, and I am fascinated by the realm of cyber security and learning all there is to know about breaking in and protecting cyber environments.

Currently I am working on Replit's 100 days of python to get a good foundation with the coding language. Every day there is a new lesson that builds on the skills taught in the previous classes.

I was up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains for 3.5 years at a hard rock gold and silver mine. During my time there I wore many hats (and jackets!). I started as a general laborer digging trenches and pouring concrete, and after a few months even got trained on using a menagerie of heavy equipment including skid steers, back-hoes, and front-end loaders. After some time doing that, I was promoted to bull gang supervisor, who is in charge of utility maintenance and installation primarily underground. I stepped down from that role because I wanted to get more experience underground, so I switched to a miner 1 position. In this position I learned the mining cycle of drill, blast, muck, where I learned about safely handling explosives and pneumatic equipment. This is when our mine surveyor put in his notice, and I stepped up to learn all he had to offer. I learned everything I could in the month I had with him and when he left, I took over the entire survey department, performing surveys underground and on the surface with a total station and using the data collected from that, I created intricate 3D maps of the tunnels and surface in AutoCAD. During my time at the mine, I was a part of Front Range Mine Rescue, participating monthly in training and class sessions to be prepared for any and all emergencies relating to underground mines. As a result of this, I have had training in CPR and first aid, and my favorite part was going under oxygen in the SCBA packs and doing wild things like repelling down mine shafts or navigating through a smoked-out mine (simulated of course).
